Maybe you should send in a request for <a href="http://whoorl.com/archives/category/hair-thursday" rel="nofollow">Hair Thursday</a>.

Also, check out the Yelp boards for stylist recs. A good one isn't cheap, but they should do such an awesome job that your hair will grow out beautifully and you won't need to get it cut for months and months.

Good luck!

From what I can tell with the pictures of yourself you have posted, we have pretty much the same hair, thick, wavy, and with a mind of it's own. Willow's hair "might" work, but if your hair is as thick as mine, it won't lay like that. The only way my hair will even approach managable is in layers, and I usually have to fight with the hairdresser to get it right...."Are you sure? I'm sure, just keep cutting, I'll tell you when to stop."
Layering helps a little with the hairs that have a mind of their own and most days it looks like you did it on purpose. Eh, hope this helps. It's hard to screw up, even the girl at the beauty school did a decent job.

I say just shave it. I did that a couple of years ago because it was just in such bad shape, and a friend dyed leopard spots all over the fuzz. Now I'm growing it out and consider hats to BE my 'do.

The only thing I can tell you about that hair style (being as my hair has just gotten past that length not so long ago) is that it doesn't take long for it to get to the annoying length where it keeps getting stuck in your collar and if you want to keep it at that length you have to keep going to the dreaded salon to get it trimmed! I really think that cut would look good on you though!
