Very nice design...

I'm much the same... I'm constantly changing my theme and trying new things (like... well, now. :) ). But, I really like the keeping it all organized in categories and hiding the dates. It makes it less obvious how long it is between blog posts.

(And I'm really not stalking you.... but I did follow your link over to health month and joined there too.. )

Wow, Baba, how scary! We don't have any history with weird fever-related badness, which is one of the things we took into account when we decided to hold off on seeing a doctor. And like I said, if he'd had anything else going on or if his fever hadn't broken, we'd have had him at the doctor's office in a heartbeat.

In my family, children under 7 often have seizures (convulsions) when fever is higher than about 104. There is little that frightens a parent more than when a child suddenly stiffens, ceases breathing, and turns blue. It happened to me, my father, and my son. Just from a common fever, like Rubella or Mumps. I don't believe the 108 number. If your child is over 104.5, take them to wherever you can for immediate treatment. No one will criticize you. Don't take chances.

108, I know! Doesn't that seem ridiculously high? For me *personally* the freakout temp was anything over 105, but it was sort of reassuring to know that he still had several degrees to go before anyone in the medical profession would freak out. (And the 105 temp only lasted one day and one very LONG night.)

Dude, I HAVE insurance and just went through this with a kid - and they did exactly that in the ped's office and in the Urgent Care when I freaked out a little. For kids Sb's age they say 108F is the freak out temp! Can you imagine? Don't beat yourself up about it.

I am totally intrigued by this thing and VERY interested to hear your updates. I cringe to think what my score would have been last night, between my actual go-to-bed time of 1:30, Kirin's wakeups at 2:30, 3:00, crawling into bed with me at 4, demanding to be nursed every 10 minutes between 5:30 and 7 (I finally caved at 7, and am even now not sure why I feel adamant that we couldn't before then). I am dead to the world today.
